Welcome to the PCWRA Website
Plum Creek Wastewater Authority (PCWA) was established in 1990 as a regional wastewater treatment facility. In April of 2013 we underwent a name change to Plum Creek Water Reclamation Authority (PCWRA) which better reflects the existing activities of the Authority. Currently, we provide the wastewater services for the Town of Castle Rock, the Castle Pines Metropolitan District, the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District, the Silver Heights Water and Sanitation District and the Castleton Center Water and Sanitation District.
It is our job to ensure the quality of water that flows downstream from our Plant is good for aquatic life, recreation, and ultimately for human consumption. That's because all of the water that is treated, at any wastewater treatment plant, ultimately flows back into the environment. Considering that we collect and process over 4 million gallons of wastewater per day, 365 days a year for a population of over 70,000 people, that's not always an easy task.
So, it is our hope that this website provides the necessary information for the residents and businesses we serve. Together with everyone's help, we can continue to meet and/or exceed the State's water quality regulations, remain cost-efficient, and respectful of the people, fish, and animals that use the water downstream of our treatment plant. .
